02Product introduction

What is a self-propelled scissor lift?

A self-propelled scissor lift is a mobile elevating work platform that uses a scissor mechanism to raise the platform vertically and an onboard travel system to reposition the machine. Exact travel, elevation, surface and environmental limits depend on the model and its operating information.

Selection should begin with the work requirement rather than a model number. Define the required height information, combined weight of people, tools and materials, platform space, route to the work area, operating surface and power available at the site. Use the same field definitions and units when comparing model data.

01

Reach and load requirements

Record the height and position of the work area, not only the height of the building. Include people, tools and materials in the planned platform load.

02

Access and site conditions

Review the complete route from unloading to the work area, including clearances, turning space, transport limits, thresholds, slopes and surface conditions.

03

Operating environment and power

State the operating environment, travel surface and charging or power available. Suitability must be checked against the information for the exact model.

03Typical project tasks

Place the lift in its working context

These examples help organize an enquiry. Suitability still depends on the exact model, site, task and operating information reviewed for the project.

01

Facility maintenance and installation

Plan elevated inspection, installation or maintenance tasks together with the indoor route, floor condition, overhead space and nearby activity.

02

Warehouse and production work areas

Describe the work point, aisle and doorway clearances, platform activity and movement path through the operating area.

03

Prepared outdoor work zones

Document the travel surface, slopes, edges, weather exposure and delivery route before an exact model is reviewed for the task.

06Comparable enquiry

Build the request around the same inputs

A consistent set of project inputs makes later model and configuration comparisons clearer.

Project information to provide for a model comparison
Project inputInformation to provide
Work requirement Required reach, task description and the work area to be accessed.
Load plan People, tools, materials and any extension-deck requirement.
Site limits Access width, route, surface, slopes, floor limits and available power.
Delivery plan Quantity, destination, preferred trade term and purchasing timeline.

07Selection information

Compare the fields that shape your enquiry

Share what is already known and identify any information that is still open.

Height

Separate the platform position from the work point

Record the platform position you need, then describe the point where the task takes place. Maximum platform height and maximum working height are separate fields in the model comparison. Keep each label and unit with its value; do not replace one with the other.

Load

Describe everyone and everything planned for the platform

List the people, tools and materials included in the planned platform load. Compare rated platform capacity and extension capacity as separate fields. A listed value is a model reference; it does not by itself confirm the complete task or site.

Platform

Check the working space and the extension separately

Record the platform space the task requires. On this page, platform dimensions mean the platform length × width shown for each model, while platform extension is a separate field. Neither field is an overall machine dimension or a complete access-route measurement.

Access

Measure the complete route to the work area

Record the narrowest clear width and height, turns, thresholds, floor transitions, storage position and unloading route. Wheelbase and turning-radius fields help organize a model review, but they do not establish that the full machine or route will fit.

Power

Include the available charging and storage conditions

Record the electrical supply and charging and storage conditions available at the site. The comparison lists Battery and Charger as separate model fields. Those fields do not establish charging time, operating duration or site-supply compatibility unless those points are separately confirmed.

08Project review path

Move from the task to a model comparison

This is a planning sequence. The operating instructions for the selected machine and the site procedure govern actual use.

  1. 01

    Define the raised task

Separate the required platform position from the actual work point, then record the people, tools and materials involved.

  2. 02

    Measure the complete route

Check unloading, doors, aisles, turns, thresholds, floor conditions, slopes, storage and the final operating position.

  3. 03

    Compare confirmed model fields

Use the same definitions and units for height, load, platform, machine envelope and power before requesting a final configuration review.

09Buying questions

Prepare a focused comparison

Can I choose a model by working height alone?

No. Height is only one selection input. Planned load, platform space, access dimensions, operating surface, power conditions and transport requirements also need to be considered.

How do I know whether a machine will fit through the site?

Record the narrowest clear width and height along the complete route, together with turning space, thresholds, transport limits and unloading conditions. Include these measurements with your enquiry; do not assume the machine will fit from platform dimensions alone.

How should platform height and working height be compared?

Treat them as separate fields. Confirm which height definition a source uses, keep units consistent and do not substitute one value for the other.

Do I need to choose an exact model before requesting a quote?

No. A model reference is optional. The task, height information, load plan, access route, site conditions and destination provide the starting context.

Can I request a quotation before every detail is known?

Yes. Send the information already available, identify the open items and add the project destination.

Can I attach drawings or site photos?

Yes. The enquiry form accepts PDF, JPG and PNG files. You can attach up to three files, with a maximum size of 10 MB for each file.
